The best part of my job!!!

I got the sweetest email from a bride who just saw her pictures for the first time!! It put a smile on my face that will last the whole week!! : ) This is the best part of my job!!

Oh my goodness, words cannot even describe how much I love your photos! I just got done looking at them online and I am jumping to get prints of them already! You have been so wonderful. My family had taken some pictures but somewhere between them sharing the photos online- and me printing them, all my copies ended up fuzzy. That and I knew yours would be just wonderful- and I was not disappointed! They are so much better than I could have even imagined! I loved how his niece Kylee was such a ham in the pictures- they are too cute! I think my favorite was the rings on the heel of my shoe- that was amazing! I sound like I am gushing because I completely am haha. Thank you again so much! I can't wait to get the discs to show everyone!!

It just fills me with joy to share in my clients' special moments and to have them be THIS happy with the final product! Everyone is always happy, but messages like this really make my heart swell.... Here's to brides!!!

What a fantastic week!

I was extremely privileged to photograph an engagement session at Pala Mesa on Thursday for a marine and his fiance. He is getting ready to deploy to Afganistan and they wanted to get their photos done before he leaves. They were so much fun and their love for each other really shone through in the session. : ) I am working on the pictures now and I know they will be really happy with how they turned out! Friday was another engagement session, this time at the beach in La Jolla. Another beautiful couple and day! Sunday was a small, intimate wedding at a private estate in La Jolla- simply stunning!! I am so blessed to be able to participate in my client's special moments!

Beautiful Wedding Weekend!

I was so fortunate to be able to shoot a lovely wedding in Point Loma/Ocean Beach this weekend. The bride and groom were glowing the location was stunning and the weather could not have been better! I so love watching two lives become one! What a fabulous way to spend my weekend.

I have been getting so many requests lately from military families wanting to take family portraits before a deployment, capture the tender moments of a homecoming or to have me photograph their wedding or engagement. I absolutely love giving back to those who serve our country which is why I offer a discounted rate to military families!! My husband served in the Navy for over 10 years before getting out in 2007, so I have experienced deployments, homecomings and military life on a personal basis as well. I was inspired by all of these recent requests to post a "thank you" to all of the men and women who serve our country. Your sacrifice is truly appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all you do and all you give up. You should all be thanked and honored!!!

Family Reunion/Vacation!

Spent time with a wonderful family from Colorado this weekend. They had a vacation rental house right on the beach (gorgeous!!) and the whole family was there! We did pictures of the big group, as well as mini-sessions with each family. The weather was fantastic, the beach was beautiful and the photos are great!! I will enjoy working on these pics!

Sunny San Diego...

It is absolutely gorgeous outside... The groundhog must have been mistaken lol.... : ) Anyway, Kathryn and I are editing photos from our last two sessions and then we will head out for a walk in the sunshine. For now, we are enjoying working on these beautiful pictures together. Hope everyone can get outside today!
