Choosing the right wedding photographer...

A wedding is a stressful event! Choosing the right wedding photographer can make all the difference and provide you with lasting mementos of the beautiful day!
While price and your budget are certainly concerns, you will also want to find a photographer whose style you like, and whose personality meshes well with you and your fiance. Styles also vary greatly: from traditional to contemporary to photojournalism. If you see something you love in a magazine, don't be afraid to let your photographer know, that way you can try to get all the shots you want. If the photographer provides a shot list, read it and decide if there are any additional shots you want. If no shot list is provided, make your own. You should absolutely meet with the prospects before deciding who to go with. Meeting with potential photographers face to face will allow you to ask any remaining questions and to really get a feel for how you will get along with the person, as well as determining your comfort level with the person. Packages can vary greatly, so it is hard to compare apples to apples. Let the photographers know what the most important items in their packages are. Look for someone who is flexible and perhaps willing to customize their packages to fit your needs. Consider a package that includes an album. If you don't, chances are you may not get around to making one yourself!

Finding the right person will ensure that you get the beautiful images you want and that the day is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
